Today, we're a cozy, pocket friendly Bed & Breakfast tucked away on a quiet, leafy street in Westlands. No city noise. Just green gardens and morning birds. We serve a warm mix of Continental and Kenyan breakfast daily, with a buffet on weekends.
We're made for travelers who want to feel at home — whether you're here for business or to explore. We're a walking distance to Westlands, and just 35 minutes from JKIA using the Expressway.

Our Story
Kenya Continental Hotel is more than a hotel — it is a family legacy, built on love.
This heritage property first opened its doors in 1947, not as a hotel, but as a community hospital serving the people of Westlands. It changed hands over the years until 1982, when it found its true home.
In 1982, our parents, James and Helen Nderitu saw what no one else could see. With a shared love for nyama choma, good local food, live music and joyful dances, they took this old hospital and lovingly transformed it into a hotel.
What followed is the Westlands we still remember so fondly. Through the 80s and 90s, Kenya Continental became the heart of the neighborhood — the famous nyama choma bar, the lively outdoor bar, the laughter we shared while watching the legendary Vitimbi comedians, and the soulful country music and mugithi tunes of the iconic one-man guitar maestros. It was simple, warm, and full of life — just like Helen and James.
Today, that same spirit lives on. As the second generation, we are honoured to carry forward our parents' dream. The values they instilled remain unchanged: warm, genuine hospitality, good honest food, and comfortable rooms at a kind price.
In the midst of the noise and high-rises of the new Westlands, we strive to keep this icon standing — a peaceful, nostalgic haven where everyone is welcome, and everyone belongs.
